All About Free Satellite TV Deals

by: Teddy LC.
I am sure you've seen these ads online and offline -- "Free satellite TV!" "Get a 4-room Satellite TV System Free!" and "Satellite TV Dish and Receivers Absolutely Free!" But are these deals really free? Are them worth for the money? But are these satellite TV offers really free?

The answer to that question is yes ... and no.

It's a 'yes' because you got the satellite TV systems for free. Further more you get other promotions gifts such as digital video recorder (DVR), DVD player, home theater systems and HD systems for free. As the ads say: No equipments to buy at all. However, the programming service will cost you money. Each month, these socall "free satellite TV deals" are going to take out some dollars from your wallet.

Let's examine the facts about free satellite TV deals.

Due to the demise of Pegasus and Voom services, there are only two major satellite TV providers in the USA -- Dish Network and DirecTV. Both companies are providing 100% digital satellite pictures; both companies are offering amazing free satellite TV systems; and both companies have the finest sales support team for their customer services.

Dish Network Satellite TV

When you order a free satellite TV system from Dish Network, you will be asked to pay a $49.99 activation fee. This fee will be credited to your programming bill, so in essence, your satellite TV system is free. Installation of your satellite TV system is also free.

With Dish Network you have the option to upgrade to a DVR (digital video recording) receiver, or an HDTV (high definition TV) receiver at no charge.

You can get Dish Network services at a monthly cost of $19.99. However, Dish Network standard programming fees start at $31.99 per month (for standard 60 program channels). The monthly subscription fees then goes up to around $86.00 for 230 channels including Showtime, Starz!, HBO, Cinemax, and Sirius radio.

Dish Network offers more movies, shows, and HDTV than cable or DirecTV, and with one of their free DVR receivers you can record, pause, and fast forward live TV with a click of your remote. All Dish Network programs are broadcast in digital format for crystal-clear picture and sound.

DirecTV Satellite TV Service

Depending on your credit rating, when you order a free satellite TV system from DirecTV you may be required to pay a deposit or prepayment. Because the deposit is refunded to you and the prepayment goes toward your programming fees, the DirecTV satellite dish and receivers are free. Installation is also free.

If you want a DVR receiver you will be charged an additional $49.99. The charge for HDTV receivers is $299.99.

DirecTV programming packages start at $29.99 per month for 115 channels (including 31 music channels), and go up to more than $90 per month for 185 program channels, including Showtime, Starz!, HBO, Cinemax, and 31 music channels.

DirecTV offers more sports programs than you can get with cable or Dish Network, including the popular NFL Sunday Ticket which Dish Network does not cover. All sports channels are broadcasted in all-digital format.

Wrapping things up

Both Dish Network and DirecTV's deals are lucrative. As mentioned before, you will get sets of satellite systems and home electronics for free but the programming services will cost you anywhere from $32 to $94 a month.

If TV is one of your primary forms of entertainment and you want the biggest variety of shows, movies, sports, and news -- then we satellite TV deals should be something you should seriously consider. Cable TVs nowadays doesn't looks like a good deal to go for as their monthly fees increase a lot every year. For football fans that wish to get every NFL games- DirecTV is what you are looking for; for normal family, Dish Network seems to be a better choice. You can check out some of the reputable dealers (both Dish Network and DirecTV) at here.

However, if you watch just a few television programs a week and have access to over-the-air TV, then satellite TV probably isn't for you.

Feeder Pages... What They Are And WHY They're A Great Source Of FREE Traffic

by: Cory Threlfall
Look out because here comes another FREE traffic source for you to utilize within your online marketing mix.

Internet marketers(myself included) have been using this method of traffic generation for quite some time now with Great results and I'll explain WHY in a moment.

First off though, I think it's important that I explain what a "Feeder Page" is for those of you who are new to the term and the Internet marketing scene.

A "Feeder Page" is simply a single -- Keyword Targeted -- webpage that is designed to rank high in the Search Engines under the particular Keyword or Keyword Phrase that webpage is optimized for.

That's the definition in a nutshell.

Now, depending on the keywords or keyword phrases you use and how well they rank within the SE's, Traffic will slowly start to trickle in, that's why you want to have as many of these pages out there as possible.

The more pages, the more TRAFFIC you'll receive.

Remember, it's all about the numbers and as a quick example lets say you have 100 keyword optimized "Feeder Pages" out on the web and the Search Engine Spiders find them while crawling and decided to index them all.

And... lets say that each of those pages roughly sent you between 2 to 5 hits a day to your website.

That's 200-500 EXTRA hits a day to your website for FREE!

Which then works out to about 6,000 to 15,000 EXTRA hits to your site in a month.

Just imagine all the sales that would be generated from that kind of traffic flowing into your website, that is of course, if your salescopy is converting well.

The cool thing about all this is, they didn't cost you a SINGLE penny.

Now, that's just the basic breakdown of a "Feeder Pages" basic function and purpose.

There's more to building them then what I have explained in this article.

I just wanted to give you a guick overview into another POWERFUL method of FREE traffic generation that many Internet marketers use to send traffic to their websites via the Search Engines.

The best software I've encountered and personally use to generate several hundred themed "Feeder Pages" at a time is called Traffic Equalizer. You can find out more about this software and how it works at: http://traffic-equalizer.corys-cbmall.com

Now, you'll find that if you do a little research online about "Feeder Pages"(A.K.A. Doorway or Gateway pages) that some marketers say "They're No Good and They Don't Work Anymore".

You'll also hear some say by using "Feeder Pages", you are 'Spamming' the Search Engines and that the SE's are cracking down on this method of traffic generation and will de-index your website to NO existance.

YES. Some of this is true, indeed.

And... it has happened to me several times.

BUT... they keep coming back and re-indexing them all.

Those Bloody Spiders!!

The 'Key' to getting around this is simply to build your "Feeder Pages" with targeted content(like articles or reviews, etc.) related to your Product or Service and present them with the same Look and Navigation as the rest of your website.(ex. graphics, template, links, copyright, etc.)

Well... there you have it; "Feeder Pages(A.K.A. Doorway or Gateway pages)... What They Are And HOW They're A Great Source Of FREE Traffic".

I truly hope you understand what I just revealed and More Importantly, how You too can use this within your online marketing mix to BOOST your Traffic and Sales.

Amazing And Free Web Design Tips

by: Steve Hill
In this article I give some amazing tips about web design and web promotion and its for free. I hope you enjoy the read.

Free web design tips.

There is no longer a need for people to spend hundreds of pounds to have a website designed and built. I believe you should only have to pay around £100 to have a standard or simple website built. The amount of competition in the internet web design sector means that there are some great deals available, in the next paragraph I will explain where to look for these bargains.

My advice on where to find these cheap website design deals would be by looking on internet auction websites such as ebay, internet search engines or in the Yellow Pages. Asking friends and family and also looking in the local and free press is also worth a go.

Free website promotion tips.

I would imagine that most people who own a website are looking at ways to increase the amount of traffic to their website or an increase in their PR rating. In general the higher the page rank you have the more visitors you are likely to get.

In my opinion the best way to increase this page rank is by building up the number of backward links your website has. You can do this by e-mailing other websites preferably in the same business sector as your own and asking if they would be willing to swap links with your site. This can be quite a tedious job however and it might be worth your while looking into a program such as linkmetro.

Writing articles is probably the best way of obtaining backward links, these are also links of more value as they are one-way links. By submitting these articles to article websites, other webmasters are then able to use your article on their website, thus giving you an extra link. This is because you are able to add a link to your website in the artice in the resources or author bio section at the bottom of the page.

You may also want to consider a pay per click program such as google adwords. This is where you pay to have an advert which will appear on the right side of the search results. This would be under the sponsored results of the google search engine for a specific key phrase. Always remember not to spend more on the advertising than you are likely to earn from the website.

If you would like to earn extra money from your website you may want to consider google adsense. This is where google put ads onto your website. When your visitors click on the ads you get paid.

Free tips on how to lose weight

by: Steve Hill
Many people in life, especially in the western world are looking at ways to lose weight. In this article I describe about how I have had an ongoing struggle with my own weight and how I eventually lost the excess pounds.

I am somebody who has a liking to the wrong types of food and drinks and as a result have had an ongoing battle with my weight for most of my life. I have to be very careful what I eat as I seem to gain weight very easily. In my life I have tried many diets, however I have always looked for a way to of losing weight without having to resort to starve myself or by having to do huge amounts of exercise.

I have always been annoyed and frustrated with family and friends who seem to be able to eat without getting fat. I am sure I eat half as much as these people but am still twice their size, it is not fair! That was until a couple of years ago.

I decided I needed to find my own way of losing weight. I had to be honest with myself, I was aware that I did very little exercise and that I liked all of the wrong types of food. I was a bit of a fast food junkie, this was only because of my busy lifestyle . One of my biggest problems though was that I liked snack food, such as peanuts, chocolate and crisps. I also liked an alcohol as this helped me to gain confidence.

I knew that most people would advise me to stop eating all fatty type foods, especially the pizzas and chips. They would also no doubt, advise me to join a gym and to go jogging every morning. Get real! Those gyms are full of thin people, if I go jogging I might get mugged, and I am sorry but life would not be worth living without my weekly pizza!

What I needed was my own weight loss plan so I decided that what I would do is to basically eat a healthy type breakfast, which would be cerial or toast. I would have a fairly light lunch, such as a sandwich, however for my evening meal I could eat whatever I wanted. The main thing and most difficult to implement would be the fact that I would be no longer eating between meals. The snacks had to go!. I am not trying to say that this was easy to do, however I had a need and was determined to lose weight.

For exercise I decided to leave the car at home, wherever possible, and walk to more places. I also started taking my children to the park more often. At the park we would play games such as football, cricket and baseball. It is amazing how much weight you can lose by having fun.

These things in time helped me to lose a lot of my excess weight.

Getting Free, Targeted Traffic to Your Web Site using Online Forums

by: Norio De Sousa
Online forums are a great place to meet people, learn things and, most importantly, build traffic for your web site. You can build heaps of traffic to your site by just following these few, simple guidelines.

Help People Every Chance You Get

Whenever someone posts a question to the forum, answer it. Challenge yourself to see how many people you can help in an hour or try and see if you can be the first person to answer.

Be honest and offer real advice. Don't just post a quick line asking them to call you for help. People who use forums want answers - TODAY. They're banking on having anywhere from 5 to 500 people on the forum ready to answer their question.

The better your answer, the more likely they'll click over to your web site!

Answering questions will help you to build a reputation for yourself as the expert in your field. The more information you give away, the more you prove that you know what you're talking about.

Don't be afraid to give a lot of information away. You might feel that you risk losing work this way but, really, you risk losing work by failing to prove that you know your business.

Be Friendly Towards Everyone, Even if You Disagree With Them

Heated arguments are commonplace in forums - learn how to express your opinions without being rude or insulting.

When someone disagrees with you, present your views and then, as Dr Stephen Covey says, agree to disagree, agreeably. Agree that you feel differently about the subject and then agree not to argue about it any more.

Eventually, people will come to know you as "the nice person that knows a lot about ...". That sort of reputation can earn you lots of traffic as well as lots of sales!

Contribute to the Forum as Much as Possible

Whenever you come across something you think will be useful to other members of the forum, post it. Let everyone know how you found it, where it came from and write a short summary of what they'll find if they follow the link or download the article.

This might sound like a lot of work but, in most cases, it's really easy.

You establish yourself as the professional in your industry. This really helps people feel confident about doing business with you. Confidence equals clicks and clicks equals Sales!

Use a Compelling Signature

A signature is the space at the end of every post where you can provide your personal information like a name, email address and web site address. You usually just have to configure it once and then it will automatically be added to every post you make.

People often use signatures to "advertise" themselves. The key here is to make it short and compelling.

For example, "We create web sites" is short, but not compelling. You probably won't get any clicks with such a boring signature.

Offer a solution to a problem or pique their curiosity with a question-based link. Make people curious or excited about what they'll find if they click on your link.

Here are 2 good examples:

"Are you losing sales because of these 10 critical web site mistakes?"

"Discover the secrets of online marketing with my free course"

As long as what you're offering is relevant to the forum or discussion, you'll find a lot of people clicking through to find out more.

Link Back to Your Own Web Site

Whenever you post something, try and find a helpful way to link back to your web site. For example, if someone asks a question on how to finance their start-up company, give them a tip or two, and then link to an article on your web site for more information.

This is called in-context linking and is, by far, the best way to build your web site's traffic and search engine ranking.

This works because search engines like Google decide how important your web site is by how many different web sites link to it! Essentially, by being active on forums, you're voting for your own web site in a very effective & ethical way. Bonus :)

By following these simple steps, you'll soon find hordes of people clicking through to your site to learn more about what you do and how you can help them.

What’s Toll Free Numbers Got To Do With Ecommerce?

by: Jacob Richards
Sometimes skimping on things can save you good money. But skimping is not always the wisest business strategy. For example, I could’ve written this article in the windows program notepad as opposed to Microsoft Word, and saved a good $500 and never had to buy the latest version of Microsoft Office… However, wouldn’t it be worth the $500 if the improved impression of professionalism put forth in all of my writings some how garnered ten times that in profit? Would you have read this far if I had unknowingly published this article with a horribly obvious typo in the title? That’s right – an insignificant error caused by “saving money” can actually COST you money in the long run.

## Impression Is Everything! ##

If you have spent months developing a beautiful ecommerce website to give people the impression that you are the safest choice for whatever product or service you’re trying to sell them, then it’d be pretty stupid to have all of that professionalism dismissed by a simple mistake: assuming you’re going to SAVE money by not getting a toll free number!

The fact is, the sight of a toll free number is something that subconsciously stirs an idea of professionalism – something we’re accustomed to from corporate America. Area codes are for calling your relatives and friends, after all. The phone prefix “800” or “877” or “888” for some reason, as if by magic, stirs in us the image of a phone operator in a tall skyscraper that deals with hundreds of clients a day – someone that doesn’t make their living off of ripping people off. The appearance of professionalism is the embodiment of confidence within the business world.

## Okay, so you’re convinced… now what? ##

Not having a toll free number for your ecommerce business (no matter how small) will cost you more in the long run than the short term savings will save you. The best part is though that toll free numbers are not NEARLY as expensive as one might be inclined to think! In fact, at the moment the prices for toll free numbers are as low as 2.7c/min from places like www.patricklongdistance.com.

## What other services can I benefit from? ##

It just so happens that toll free numbers are not the only affordable telecommunications service that might be useful to the owner of an ecommerce web site. Conference calling (for those teleseminars), low long distance rates, broadband or t1 internet access, and more are all examples of things that can be gotten more cost effectively off the internet via web pages such as the one I provided in the last paragraph.

Using Free Traffic Exchange

by: Jakob Jelling
These days internet has emerged as both, a market and hub for marketing. Unlike the ‘brick and mortar’ world where large manufacturers manage to squeeze out the market bases of smaller companies, the internet provides haven like the free traffic exchange. They are extremely useful to those product and service providers who do not have the advertising budget to compete with large corporations.

Free traffic exchanges can be described as opt-in-clubs, which only other manufacturers of products and services can join. By joining these exchanges, a member is obliged to look at other members’ web pages. To gain membership you have to submit in your website which then goes into rotation with the hundreds and thousands of websites already registered with that particular traffic exchange. (This works best for people with high-speed internet connection.)

These exchanges are generally of two types – auto surf and manual. In the former, the exchange automatically keeps on flipping the pages in the web browser. In a manual exchange you need to click on a graphic or banner control to change pages. Most exchanges operate on the credit system. You gain credit by spending time (for example, 30 seconds) on a particular website. The more the number of sites you spend time on, the more your credit. However your credit gets reduced when another member visits your website. With increased credit your website goes into heavy rotation insuring a more effective and wider reach. You can easily register with these exchanges. Most just request some personal information and your URL.

However, you have to be quite alert in choosing a traffic exchange that would suit your business needs. Select one with many members as this helps in getting more exposure. One factor that is conducive to an effective exchange is demography. You should insure that your business is similar to those available on the exchange. Suffice it to say that a manufacturer of handcrafted china won’t get out of an exchange dominated by marketers of leather goods. The drawback of this is that in an exchange where everyone is offering similar services, you would have to work harder to insure that your site does not get lost.

For beginners it is always a good idea to join a few exchanges of both auto run and manual varieties. You can survey the sites and then decide which works best for you. However, it is the manual ones which are better in the long run because the possibility of actual sales is much higher. One of the tricks of the trade is to use a multi-tab web browser. The browser continues to run several websites in multiple tabs while only one window is open for viewing. You can easily surf many exchanges at the same time in this manner.
